We wish you a happy new year, and hope that 2010 will bring you many successes, both personal and professional.

We are happy to announce to you that CLUB and Calypso Network Association will work together more closely this year, in order to propose to you pertinent and useful events.

For now weare preparing a technical visit in Italy, we will keep you posted very soon on the dates.

Also we are happy to announce to you that CNA is organzing a conference in Mexico on April 26th-7th, with CLUB as a partner so feel free to ask us information about the event.

In the mean time, please readthe following save the date:

CTS (Centro de Transporte Sustentable), a well known non profit Organization promoting ecological transportation) and Calypso are organizing a Congress in Mexico to present Calypso standard at a crucial time for this country (many projects starting).

This international Congress will take place in Mexico City (one of the biggest Cities in the world:  a city you have to know when you work in transportation) on April 26^th and 27^th 2010.

-The first part of the day will be dedicated to present MEXICO transportation problems, countrywide by CTS then more focused on Mexico City by Metrobus and probably the Metro. Metrobus is Mexico's BRT (Bus Rapid Transit= "the subway made for cities who cannot afford a complete subway system" = closed stations and operation by buses on private right of way). Metrobus has got 6 millions of smart cards in circulation and won this year the prestigious Harvard University Award. Mexico subway is one of the biggest and more frequented in the world; it is starting its move towards a contactless system. Both are using Calypso fully or partially.

- The second part of the day will be dedicated to the thorough presentation of Some Calypso applications around the world and to a round table.

-The third part of the day will be dedicated to some interesting visits.

-The last part of the day will be dedicated to presentations by suppliers (participants not yet confirmed) The Congress is to take place in a nice hotel of Mexico and two programs for tourism will be suggested to you:

-One rather short, organized, to take place on Saturday 24^th and Sunday 25 ^th : visit of historical Mexico city, of Tehotihuacan -the impressive city of Gods nearby-, of Mercado del Sabado (a very nice market) and probably a diner in a nice Hacienda,...(you are  suggested to arrive on Friday evening...taking for instance a plane around mid day on Friday in Europ -7 hours of time difference-).

-Another, less stctured, inviting you to discover Yucatan for a few days (Mayas ‘s land and its nice beaches) or colonial cities (150km from Mexico city). This can be a nice ending or introduction to your Congress (3 or 4 unforgettable days!). We will be glad to give you advices.

About prices, the Pesos, being linked to the US $ , is vey favorable for Europeans by now and we are in the process to get some financing for local expenses for foreign visitors. We will let you know about more details pretty soon but do note those dates because ewe really look forward to see you there.
